Catherine has inherited her late father’s mathematical brilliance, but she is haunted by the fear that she might also share his mental illness. Caught between a connection with Hal, one of her father’s former students, and the reappearance of her sister, Claire, Catherine finds both her world and her mind growing increasingly unstable. Then Hal discovers a groundbreaking proof among the 103 notebooks Catherine’s father left behind, and Catherine is forced to further question how much of her father’s genius or madness she will inherit. Winner of the Pulitzer prize for drama, David Auburn’s PROOF is a passionate, intelligent story about fathers and daughters, the nature of genius, and the power of love.

Billy Bigelow, a swaggering, carefree carnival barker, falls in love with and marries the sweet but naïve Julie Jordan in this stunning tale of hope and regret. Voted the best musical of the 20th century by Time Magazine, the classic story will be presented with a fresh perspective for modern audiences.
This show tackles heavy subject matter such as domestic violence, and Watershed Public Theatre’s production will handle these issues with respect and care for those who may face these challenges in the real world. With this production we hope to encourage a conversation and spread awareness by focusing on accountability and consequences for violent actions in a way that is unlike any CAROUSEL you have seen before.
